On Lab Safety, Grainger combining supply lines

I am still unsure what was said that was not public knowledge. This was made public over a month ago. I do feel for the Highsmith reps who were laid off and wish them the best of luck and am thankful to be working with a group of wonderful people who came from highsmith. Again, this was all public knowledge and no "Secret, undisclosed, private" information was leaked.

why_the_fuss: i believe lalala meant was this is information that is known. It is not confidential information that everyone wasnt offered a position or that Lab Safety came and "stole" Highsmith. Like they said, they were for sale and it was a good opportunity for LSS.

This has definitely stemed out of control and honestly nobody can make assumptions as to what it means or what the future holds. Take life one day at a time and enjoy and charish what you have-because as we have been proven in all aspects of life-it might not be there tomorrow.

i agree with 031103. Being an employee of Lab, this was a bit of a shock to some co-workers. Some departments had been informed of the "merger" for lack of better words and some had not. This is a positive turn of events in the fact that there should be no layoffs and we will continue to dominate the industry.

On Nonprofit reports more horses needing rescue

Posted on November 6 at 1:16 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

i personally have seen the effects of unwanted horses and not being able to feed ones horses. Our family belong to Spirit Equine Rescue and recently helped with the rescue of over 30 horses where the owner was unable to care for them. It was awful to see the conditions of the horses and their surroundings. It is organizations like these that should have the most support! Local shelters and volunteers put blood, sweat and tears into saving animals. Animals that had choice but to become domestic "pets". Please support all local organizations and shelters. Especially because you never know when you might need these shelters yourself.

On Doyle outlines options for GM workers

First, there is no reason for name calling. You are in the same situation as the rest, but is it the worker's fault that GM employee's are receiving assistance and other companies are not? NO! So the name call and bashing online should stop.
I thought we were supposed to be a community. I have yet to see this "community" come together for anything. Did we come together when Parker Pen shut down? This is one of the worst towns as far as support goes.
I used to be proud to say i was from Janesville, but each day I believe that less and less.
