On Improvements slated for Interstate 90/39

Meanwhile the state has poured money for the last 15 years in Wausau and other "favored" geographic locations. South of Madison, we are left to scrap for leftovers. I-43 from Beloit to Milwaukee was a prime example of horrific neglect. I realize some improvements have been made the last 2 years there, but jeez, they pave the highways in the Fox Valley with gold.

There is no connection between this story and Beloit. I wonder where the hatred comes from. By the way, there are no strip clubs in the City of Beloit. Both are in the township.

Adam - thanks for asking some thoughtful questions. I've lived in Rock County most of my life and learned alot from the answers that were posted by other readers. I may be in the minority, but I still believe that better economic days for Rock County are coming. So much untapped potential...

Remarkable how fast they can whip up a useable crossover lane built to meet Interstate highway standards and it takes 10 months dig up a one-mile stretch of road and replace it in other municipalities. But I'm glad to hear they are taking some action.

On City's days as auto town are numbered

I think Janesville can be a better place without the shackles of having to frame every important community decision around GM. No one I know is guaranteed a job tomorrow and I feel the pain for those who are losing theirs, but we all knew the clock was ticking. If you get a city manager with some guts and new ideas, you will see positive change even before the plant closes. Look at the uptick around Beloit under City Mgr. Arft. In other words, get the old guard out!

Again, MajorMojo sticks out his head from his hole built on great wealth everytime a crime occurs in Beloit. But don't question him, he claims he has statistics to back his self-righteous attitude. I love Beloit. And Janesville is just fine too. Why do you feel the need to denegrate entire communities when 5 percent of the community are troublemakers...maximum?

um, perhaps I was misunderstood. I am a supporter of all teachers, I am attempting sarcasm and calling out lazy kids and lazy parents.

And you know why I would have gone to school? Because if school was scheduled, my parents expected that I go because sometimes life isn't fair. Radical concept. Apparently, the high schools didn't take this seriously either, so I can't entirely blame the students for lack of motivation.
