Hey EZONER, you have been listening to too much Fox News again! The woman's son does not work for Politico in fact he doesn't even work for Politico anymore. Damn, now having the same last name makes you related.

On Does Romney’s Mormonism matter?

Hey Retired Air Force not all of what you say about the auto makers going through a normal bancruptcy is true. Had this been allowed to happen the pensions would have been taken over by PBGC at a cost to the taxpayers of over $6 billion dollars (yes billion with a b) forever plus the cost of the unemployment and social costs. I think the taxpayer actually got a deal at $61 billion.

Hey ezoner...here's a history lesson for you:

1942, Production Goes to War

General Motors converted all of its production to the Allied war effort and delivered more than $12 billion worth of goods, ranging from airplanes to tanks, marine diesel engines, trucks, machine guns, and shells. No other manufacturer delivered as much material to the Allied forces.

Here is a list of the WWII General Motors War Material Production 1940-45: (This is the best list I could assemble from the contemporary sources at war's end)
198,000 Diesel engines for tanks & landing craft
206,000 Airplane engines
13,000 Complete bombers and fighter planes
97,000 Aircraft propellors
301,000 Aircraft gyroscopes
38,000 Tanks, tank destroyers and armored vehicles
854,000 Trucks, including amhibious DUKWs
190,000 Cannons
1,900,000 Machine guns and submachine guns
3,142,000 Carbines
3,826,000 Electric motors
11,111,000 Fuses
360,000,000 Ball and roller bearings
119,562,000 Shells
39,181,000 Cartridge cases

540,619,000 Grand Total

To this day, the government has not forgotten GM's contribution. Some stupid people have but not those who truly remember.

Hey grandys618 and dawolfman75......the vast majority of those that work at Spring Hill never were from Tennessee so I guess I missed the point of going home. All those who transferred to the Saturn plant at its inception all came from the north.

On Ga. executes Davis; supporters claim injustice

oj's victim wasn't killed with bullets from two different guns or have 7 of 9 witnesses recant testimony either. Was Davis guilty? Only he knows but the bottom line is the execution should have been stayed until the reasons were found why so many witnesses changed their minds.

TrueCitizen....what a crock of chitz! Why don't you quit if you feel so bad about your work environment? You won't quit because you know you couldn't find anything else and if you did it wouldn't pay nearly as much as your "terrible union environment" . Are you saying you don't earn your money? Are you lazy or what?

On Mortgage crisis changes are transforming home sales

My question would be, why would you schedule a closing without knowing the financing was approved. One would think the appraisal would have been completed early in the financing process. Sounds like someone got the cart in front of the horse.

On GOP politicians banned from Labor Day parade

Republicans should never ever be involved in any Labor Day festivity because they have never done anything to enhance the lives of those who labor. A hard days work and some good sex would kill most republicans anyway!

Just read a poll that said the tea party is less popular than Atheists or Muslims; so I guess they may be losing their luster.

If you check, you'll see that corporations cannot donate to political campaigns. People that work for corporations - of course can, including union members - but their union organizations already do contribute to politicians on their behalf.....

Not so big chip. According to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, corporations are now viewed the same as an individual. Therefore, corporations can donate to individuals. Target stores were the largest contributor to Michelle Bachman in her last election. So your premise is wrong.
