On Feingold questions Wisconsin AG's poll watchers

Posted on October 31 at 1:49 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

These people will be on the look out for all those falsely registered voters like Mickey Mouse, Or Donald Duck (I hear Minnie is not Voting this year because Hillery is not on the ticket). Of course isn't fake registering to vote a little meaningless in Wisconsin anyway, since we can just register on election day? I think all this talk of registration fraud is just much ado about nothing. The real voter fraud was committed in 2000 and 2004 by Bush with the help of diebold.

I hope Cecil goes to Rock County Buick so I can continue to buy cars from him. I hate the prospect of finding another good salesman if one even exists.

On Rotary Gardens to charge fee

I would envision a bike path fee to work like it does on a state bike path you by a pass for a day or a season at many vendors, or bye it from officials on the trail (for more money). In Wisconsin it is $4.00/day or $20/ annually per bike to ride a trail. And if you buy it from an official on the trail it is $5.00 more. Sure there are probably a lot of people that ride it for free but most of us pay.

Not only do I think this is a good idea, let the people who use the gardens pay for it, but I think this idea could be extended to the bike path. charge to ride the path like they do on the state paths. and use this money to build all the tunnels they can afford.

On Fee plan takes root at Rotary Gardens

Zoom-

WOW is right, that is great, I should have done the research but I was at work with the last post. Like I said though I support a fee, and $5 per adult does not seem prohibitive to me. as long as it stays off of my taxes, us that use the gardens should pay for it not taxpayers.

Although I do not oppose a fee, maybe they could try having people in the community volunteer to do the labor. not only would it help rotary gardens it would help the community as a whole

On Wis. officials defend mercury emission rules

Posted on August 20 at 8 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Even though fluorescent bulbs contain mercury, using them contributes less mercury to the environment than using regular incandescent bulbs. That's because they use less electricity — and coal-fired power plants are the biggest source of mercury emissions in the air.
I think to reduce this powerful neurotoxin in the environment is worth $5-12 dollars per year it will cost consumers. Come on, worst case it is $1 per month and maybe our kids will have a higher I.Q. in a generation from not eating the contaminated fish!

On States throw out costly electronic voting machines

Posted on August 20 at 12:57 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Maybe these states can sell them to China to use in their elections, oh wait they don't have elections their leaders are picked by a select few. It would be as if we had 9 people choose our president for us, and that would never happen in the US. Well with these machines some country could have the appearance of a fair election without actually having one, thus the people in power could stay in power.
