There was no "price fixing" in this case. The City of Madison was considering banning all drink specials ( two for Tuesdays, ladies night etc) These bars got together and agreed to limit the weekly or sometimes nightly ( happy hour) drink specials. They did not decide how much they would charge for a beer.

This is unfortunate, the injuries, the loss of a newer and very expensive fire apparatus to the community.
I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but I belong to several Emergency Services forums, and this type of incident happens weekly across the nation.
"Tenders" (tankers) are top heavy, and prone to roll over, more so than a regular engine. They may be two or more times as heavy as an engine, and thus require driving habits to be adjusted.

Don't forget the trickle down effect:
workers at Lear, CTI ( or whatever they are calling it now)and others are going to loose their jobs too.
I'm so glad I got out of CTI when I did.
I hope everyone lands a good job.
This is the wrong time for some of these people to be laid off.

Another example of why no one wants to go downtown. Those who skateboard on private property should be charged, those who damaged should be charged. But let's no ruin it for those who do not cause problems.
