first the two affor-mentioned entities need to get their collective heads out of the sand (for better than an unprintable version of where their heads really are). what are the possibilities of that since the economic problems have been around for a long time on a national level and local level. come tax time, how much revenue will be lost due to the folks laid off or otherwise out of work that will not be able to pay real estate taxes? for reasonable thinking people, this is a no brainer. question; is the school board and city council thinking reasonably?

whenever insults like "stupid" are thrown around, i pause, this time to read all of the comments the insult is thrown at. actually, i agree with the comments in question (there were two, i agree with both) and i agree that he/she has a right to their opinions without being slammed. in fact, if that is the only rhetorical response one has (stupid) then maybe the argument is lost before it has started. lost on the person throwing the insult that is.

a good point has been made concerning euthanasia. after you have had a pet for years and now the pets suffering outweighs keeping him/her alive any longer, it is difficult and embarrassing (shed the tears) to take your pet to the office. usually the procedure at the vet is done late in the day (i think because of the emotions; it is a bummer for the doctors and staff as well) it is agonizing to prepare yourself for the eventual and inevitable outcome. done at home, it makes allot of sense.
