On Total spending on recall races tops $125 million
That money sure would of helped alot of homeless people. What a waste of money.
On Former Beloit official hired by Janesville officials
Its time Janesville gets a voted in mayor instead of a city manager that stays forever even if he does a bad job.
On Janesville Salvation Army raises holiday fundraising goal
Can anyone tell me why we choose to have a city manager vs a mayor. The people of Janesville can vote for a mayor depending upon if they are doing a good job or not, city managers never leave because they get paid alot of money and we have no say about how long they stay.
On Janesville proposes new containers for garbage pickup
I think this would be good, I quit saving papers because I got tired of carting bag after bag of papers and magazines. I started to take my cans to the Humane Society because people would take all my cans at the curb. I wanted to help the city with recycling in hopes it would help with my taxes.
On County breaks ground on new facility for elderly
people don't give much thought about nursing homes until you need one, they are not all equal, some reject you because you only have medicare or medicaid, Rock Haven does not do that, they treat you with dignity, have great nurses, and give you peace. Its too bad we don't have more nursing homes like Rock Haven.
On Edgerton Hospital gears up for move to new facility
another new hospital-I guess they are the only ones making the money now days-I hope all the new hospitals make it-Mercy, St. Mary's, Beloit, Edgerton, it seems like alot of hospitals for a small region.
On Rock County getting new nursing home
moving3ways-I had to sign my mom up for medicAid. They took all of her medicare check and what was left to pay on the bill medicAid paid.
A few years ago I had to find a nursing home that would take my mom, I called several places and as soon as they found out she had only medicare they found excuses not to take her. Rock Haven said they would take her and treated her with dignity. The place was always clean, she could pick her own food, they entertained her and they treated her like they really cared about their patients. It made me feel easier to place her there and I would reccommend it to anyone. I think its GREAT they are finely getting a new place to be proud of, not everyone has the money to go to the other nursing homes.
On Janesville wants to take out Milton’s trash
I am tired of draging my pop cans to the curb just so people can go through them and take them all. I now take my cans to the Humane Society and I know they are going to a good cause. Check into this, they are very grateful to receive them and I know they are helping the animals.
