"The commission sought candidates from cities similar to Janesville" Since when is Chicago similar to Janesville in any way? This is not about whether or not Dykstra has thick skin or the fact that Spellman is old and old people tend to talk loud....what a JOKE! Spellman is a prime example of a local Politian that thinks he is somebody special! He feels everyone needs to jump at everything he says and although he "apologized" he obviously did so to avoid being charged with DC, not because he means is. Now he’s saying the city will pay his attorney fees. GIVE ME A BREAK! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE SPELLMAN! Lake Geneva would be smart to get rid of this idiot as soon as possible!

The people that are crying about the streets not being plowed are the same people insisting the city needs to cut back its spending. Wake up people! You get what you pay for. And if you want to keep insisting the city make cuts, than quit your crying after the cuts are made! glock21sf said we should get what we pay for. Thats exactly the problem....we are!
Our council members want to cut back the city budgets, but then they complain about getting calls from citizens about the lack of services so they turn around and blame it on the city's department heads when its the councils own fault to begin with!
Remember, saving money is great, but failing to adequately fund services means a reduction of services for all.

The same old BS the DNR says every year! Hunters shoot less and deer numbers go up yet hunters all over the state say they see fewer deer every year. The DNR will do or say anything to make sure their deer eradication plan succeeds.

Remember, Brunner is running for RE-ELECTION! Be careful what you believe. It was so obvious he intened on running again when he made such a big deal about trying to save Janesville residents from having to pay a back breaking tax increase of $24 a year. Now he is saying he "might at the very least reconsider the timing of the Milwaukee Street tunnel." He's not saying we dont need it. It's RE-ELECTION TIME and he is saying what he needs to say to get your vote!

PB594-Dont be fooled into thinking they are committed. Brunner does not have a personal life and is a power hungry ego maniac! Truman also enjoys the perceived power of being a council member (or at least he thinks he has power). It makes him feel important. We are better off without both of them!

Who is on the police and fire commission and what makes them qualified to pick a chief? I guess we get what we pay for when it comes to the process for finding a chief.
