On When do student prayers cross the First Amendment line?

gazettefan, your statment to me was "Teachers are responsible for what students say at ceremonies. They can't allow hate speech and they can't allow religiosity because at the moment they do, there'd be a violation of the Establishment Clause".
The question is asked in this article is "Is a prayer given by a student school-sponsored religion prohibited by the Establishment clause—or is it religious expression protected by the Free Exercise and Free Speech clauses"?
It says nothing in the article about teachers being responsible for what the student says. I do understand, you dismiss my earlier post by discrediting me by saying that I don't understand, yet I do. It is socialist censorship at its greatest. It is PC that interferes with the students rights of A. free speech, and B. The ability for that student to show the values he/she was raised with. You would want your child to make you proud wouldn't you. People don't have to pray if they don't believe it, but don't be so selfish and unfair to the student who is our future by discrediting their beliefs, and thoughts. Again My last statment was In my opinion, and this one is as well. Sorry you can't handle that.

DDR, Your statment earlier was "Got to think for yourself one of these days. But I dont think kids now learn to think for themselves". Kids do not learn to think for themsleves anymore. Political correctness along with the Socialistic way our schools are, breed people who are taught to think only one way. It is the death of a great nation when the generations to come are only taught to think one way. This nation became great due to the difference in ideas and the freedom to think their own way. Our children are shot down now just like the kid who was asked to speak at the graduation ceremony, and was not allowed to say a pray prior to the speach. Where was the allowance of speech and thought of that student. Lefties claim Equallity, yet they are the epitomy of hypocracy when it comes to equality. I see now poo everybody is equal as long as they have the same opinions as you. I don't see you name calling the people who agree with you.

ZDOG, I did not say that 7 dogs with a toddler is not dangerous. I agree with you on that. However, This statement you wrote "Setting a toddler our infant out with 7 dogs of any substance and of any breed is a recipe for a freaking disaster", is implying that someone purposely did this.
I also know that Animal behaviorists, and animal psychologists, can not speak for all pits. They use a generalized comparison for the breeds. Each pit is different, just like each human is different regardless of breed. People on here are just trying to show you that the Pit is the only breed that seems to tear mutilate, and kill for no apparent reason. According to the statistics from and earlier post, they account for the highest amount of those attacks and deaths. What is so hard for you to get about those numbers. Maybe you should find the first yorkie to kill someone, and then you may have an argument about the pits. They are a problem breed in the wrong hands period.--Merritt Clifton, editor, ANIMAL PEOPLE has been studying this for 30.5 years, and has more credibility with me with his statistical information.

Shopierehuh I am very conservative, don't assume things about guns are from just the left. Re read the context from that post. My idea was to talk about the personal responsibility of owning a gun, or dog it is the same some can handle it and others can't. I was not talking about the gun or dog itself. It was also being compared to the debate itself.
ZDOG Lock Jaw was used in my opinion from what I have seen, as I stated at the end of my post. Lock jaw would refer to the fact that they do not let go once they bite. this is the time when they thrash, causing tearing and mutilating. Most dogs when they bite, bite then let go as a warning of leave me alone. All of the recorded attacks from pit bulls, that I have read about, this warning bite is not the case. Thus I use the term Lock Jaw. Again this is my own opinion. I have never claimed to be any expert on anything. Just giving my opinion from the things I have seen.
the post right before yours also did not say that they set this little girl out with the dogs. She crawled through a doggie door on her own. You are implying that they did this intentionally.

Kind of like the gun debate. Do we get rid of certain guns because people can not handle them. Dso we get rid of pits cause people can not treat them right. All dogs can bite. I still have not heard when a yorkie has killed anyone though. The problem with these big dogs, are the extent of the damage when they do bite. Pit bulls also have something that other dogs do not, and that is lock jaw. Once they have biten on to something, they do not let go, they thrash and tear and mutilate. I have seen this first hand with 100 percent of pits that I have been around when they play with toys. yeah there are good pits, and bad pits, just as there are good chevys, and good dodges. However, dogs just like all other animals, were not meant to be domesticated. They have a primal instincts of survival. We as humans have this desire to have pets. I have raised labs. I have been biten by labs but not at all severly. The pit is one breed that there is a stigma about. To those of us who have negative encounters with pits, they are hated. To those of us who have yet to have an encounter with one, they are fine. No matter what you do with this breed, there will be upset people. So what do you do? You can regulate more and upset people who do not have any problems with them or train them right. Is that going to stop the bitings? Nope. You will never be able to get rid of a whole breed of dog. There are not any answers to this issue otherwise it wouldn't be an issue. The only idea that I can think of, is awareness to all people. Not just the ones getting bite, but the ones who own. I totally sympathize with the people who have lost loved ones to these attacks, and also sypathize to good owners who understand and treat their dogs right. This issue will never be solved fully, much like the gun debate. All just my opinion.

poo and his friends. If you read my first post, I said that .com sites are not a credible SOURCE. This would mean that they do nothing in convincing people that the data you get from them is good non spun data. Anyone can find data that suits their ideal. I have no drama in my life, and it is fun and amusing to come on this site, and see how people like you poo, act. I do not use this site for credible source info. It works well for a psychology paper. Congrats, you have made the big time with your rhetoric and attacks on others. Most psychologists would say it is a way for you to feel better about yourself.

IN My opinion, When a student is asked to speak at an event, that time is then given to them. They are not speaking for the school, yet from their own hearts. I would think that it is a type of censorship to only allow them to say certain things. Lets be real people, a speech with prayer involved by a student is not going to hurt anyone, nor change their personal beliefs. I think it is a lack of respect to that student, and tell him/her that her beliefs are not valid. How come the saying "If you dont have anything good to say, don't say it at all" is the same as "If you do have something good to say still don't say it at all". Political correctness is unconstitutional as it forces people to think a certain way, and not allow people to think freely.

Uhtred, now what is the rejection rate for private insurance? Again one question at a time. A simple number is all that matters, not extra rehtoric. Poo, I do think it is interesting that we can agree on .com sites, maybe you are more republican than you think.

Poo, It is finally nice to see that you acknowledge W being out of office. Now if your political affiliation could do the same and take responsibility for their idiocy, that would be a great start. Or does W being out of office only count when it suits you in an argument.
