On Heroin treatment can start, stop many times for struggling users

oduwale is expensive, along with the treatment program at mercy options. way too expensive if you dont have insurance. i suggest going to fort atkinson behavioral health. you dont have to be in there treatment program or any for that matter. its cheaper than most places and you dont have to make a co-pay when you visit. or if you are going to a janesville doctor there is a funding agency that will cover the overall cost if you qualify. the place is crisis intervention.

Narcan is a miracle, it saved my fince 3 times. i think a lot more users would die if narcan wasnt so available to them. there is a guy called the 'van man' that gives away free narcan, clean needles in exchange for dirty ones, cookers, and information on HIV/AIDS and hepatitus. there is also a DVD for narcan and how to use it. if a user can get ahold of narcan, definetely have it just in case

SG-

although i agree with some of what you are saying, i dont think that dealers deserve to die. i am sorry for your loss, and i know how it feels to lose someone to that drug, physically and mentally. it is the young and the old that are selling. i know a 16 year old girl that is selling heroin, and using it. she doesnt deserve to die, she needs help. the problem is where the heroin is coming from and how it is getting into our country. i just wonder how all of it gets in so easily...

On Seven arrested in Milton burglary, theft cases

its funny how a bunce of you people can be so cold-hearted. Addicts are people too, no matter what they do. Everyone has problems, and it's not too late for these people. They need help, plain and simple. I don't think jail time helps anyone because the whole time an addict is in there the only thing on their mind is their next fix when they get out. If you are a parent, think of this: what if that was your child? what if your child had an addiction to heroin? would you shun them and turn your back?

On Police: Burglary connected to heroin

yea i live in Newville/Milton and some of the unlocked car burglaries occured on my road! luckily though it didn't happen to me, but my neighbor and good friend got robbed. I know a few of those people that were involved and those few are not even locked up. I don't understand.

On Former teacher pleads guilty in heroin case

It's too bad good people get subjected to this kind of behavior. Although it is self-induced, it can happen to anyone, and it doesn't mean that she is a bad person. Addicts are regular people with a problem, like everyone else. Everyone has problems, whether it be anxiety or a nicotine addiction. It doesn't matter because there is help for all and i hope the ex-teacher gets some help and follows her dreams.~BEST WISHES~
