On Heroin problem linked to parenting

I have to agree with almost all of you. BUT, has anyone ever thought about how we do things in this country? Think about it, what do you see on tv almost every time commercials come on, DRUGS. this country raises there children on drugs from as early as 5 and maybe earlier. Is your child too energetic? We have a pill for that! Is your child not paying attention in school? We have a pill for that too! Our kids are raised on pharmaceuticals and we wonder why they become drug addicts! Kids aren't supposed to pay attention all the time, they are supposed to be energetic! If your kid is hyper then find a way for him/her to run off some of that energy, don't teach him that a PILL will fix it! STOP teaching your kids to do drugs and then telling them they are bad!

I see alot of comments about how this is a law to protect us and make us safer blah blah blah, then why are we still a state that doesnt require motorcyclists to wear a helmet or any other protective gear that would make them safer, i guess we just dont care about them, only people who drive cars. Im glad im not a motorcyclist.

WOW!!! I am 27 years old and when i was a child i used to get spanked and even sometimes with a belt! It sure sent me the message that i was doing something wrong and now I have grown up and love both of my parents very much and am thankful for everything they have done for me. Also, ask your parents how they were punished, i bet it was just as bad if not worse for them! Compare your parents generation to this generation of kids, your parents were respectful of all adults (police, teachers, etc.) todays kids are respectful of..... well, you let me know.

My old roommate had a ball python, and I am completely freaked out by snakes...but after awhile I actually had the guts to hold it, take it out myself, etc. But then one day I came home and it got out of it's cage(which we had yearbooks on top of the cage just for this reason) and it took us 3 days to find it- it was coiled up inside one of our speakers! If ya take care of em, who cares right? but don't have 20+ snakes in an apartment building!

All bars downtown are crowded at different times. And I love how people are freaking out about people standing/waiting outside creating a scene~ what do you think every bar in town is going to look like when the smoking ban is set in stone?
And is it just me, or does this hannah seem to know everything about everything in this town? I swear she's always complaining..

Yah science theories are great. But its also nice to know that this generation is being brought up with the fact that every problem we have now we can just hand a pill over to them to fix their problem. Why hasn't science figured out a way to find a different resolution to these problems? Drug addict? give em a pill. Kids hyper? give em a pill. Weight problem? give em a pill. Smoking habit? give em a pill. GO science!!

South Fremont from E. Milwaukee down to Racine(craig area)..do you see how backed up the intersections get? Not to mention the kids flying down the street @ 50mph on their lunches!
