On Stupak Amendment is an insult to women

Here is an option, instead of paying for abortions, lets just pay to have all males chemically castrated at the age of 12, it would sure be a lot cheaper and really cut down on unwanted pregnancies. I can hear the good ole boys club now all up in arms about how wrong that is. Well, to a lot of us, paying for abortion is wrong. Paying for the ice arena didn't kill anyone and as for the 40000 without insurance what about the 41.6 million who die from legal abortion every year.

Without being presumptuous on this case; crimes against police officers carry a more severe consequence, shouldn't the penalty go the otherway around as well, with police officers being held to a higher standard when breaking the law?

I am just curious why they wasted money on installing showers in the gym locker rooms when they do not encourage, nor even allow time for showers after gym class. I thought we were supposed to be teaching the kids life skills like good hygiene. The only time I have seen them used is for a quick splash before swim lessons for summer school.

Campylobacter: the King of Foodborne Disease in the US
Posted on August 22, 2009 by Drew Falkenstein
It is a wonder that Campylobacter doesn't get more attention as a public health scourge. It has long ruled the international kingdom of diarrhea as the most prevalent foodborne disease worldwide--the United States too--yet the average person walking down the street has probably never heard of it. Nonetheless, Campylobacter continues to cause more illnesses than any of its bacterial brethren.

Campylobacter, like E. coli, is a family of bacteria; and there are multiple strains of it that can make you sick. Campylobacter jejuni is the most common. The illnesses that Campylobacter infections cause are called Campylobacteriosis. The CDC receives about 10,000 reports a year, but it is estimated that between two and four million people are infected annually.

They do not junk the cars, only the engines. The clunkers are parted out by salvage yards. You will actually see a $100 credit on your invoice for the salvage fee. Who is getting the deal then?

Rock county needs an expo facility for livestock shows out on Hwy 14 & 51. Then the proceeds could go toward paying for the new fairgrounds out there as well.

Do not forget you will have already had a consistant pay cut along with those days off, then take eight more days off and still get your job done. Then the federally funded state workers, who gets that money? Does it go back to the tax payers who could certainly use it?
