On Janesville bar owner killed in motorcycle crash

I cannot believe that Hammy is gone. I had recently met him when I was told about my Aunt Lori Kruegers terminal cancer. Hammy and Suzanne helped raise money for my Aunt and they also came to the Benefit. Hammy sang his "Hammy Cash" tunes for everyone at the benefit and everyone was very impressed. Hammy also won the 50/50 raffle and then gave 100% of it back to the benefit- very generous of him!

Jay Winzenz was on the panel, what ever happen to him? He should have been chosen a long time ago. He has been trained by the COJ for the past 3 years and then they turn him down for the position, what is wrong with this picture?

We need to take off these comment blogs from the Gazette because everytime something small or big happens all the bored, immature people write in very uncalled for comments. This makes the Gazette look very unprofessional. If the citizens have blogs to write then they should go on my space !!!!

Why look when the anwser is right in front of him " Jay Winzenz". If they chose anyone but him then its a waste of the tax payers money.
For some reason the COJ has issues with keeping the wrong employees who do NOT work as they should or hire the wrong employees who cannot or have not performed the duties they would be assigned. ( I personally know this from being a PAST COJ employee).

I grew up downdown and remember as a child seeing " the window man" and always wondered why he was washed windows for a living. I never spoke to him but he ALWAYS smiled at me. He is a man that when I read the article of his death I became sad of what a loss we the citizens of Janesville will have. It makes you think that even though you may not know a person but you see them often, that you should always smile at them and say hello because you never know when or if you will ever have that chance again.

The story and pictures of the loss of "Hammy" were a great tribute to a man that was loved by all. In the main article of the gazette it mentioned that Hammy gave his winnings back to a family at there Cancer benefit- this was very true. The Cancer benefit was for my Aunt Lori Krueger. What also needs to be mentioned is that he also collected cash at his bar for the cancer benefit, as well as sang for money for the benefit. Hammy was a very giving person as you can see and hear but he also was a man who loved his wife, children and friends. There should be more people out in the world like him.
It should also be noted that The Gazette did a wonderful job on the story and I commend them for not making it into a " who did it , how they did it and why they did it story on the cause of Hammys death".
