tpaine09 - The man at Woodman's forgot to tie off to the ride on forklift after lunch and fell approximately 25 feet. He had his harness on but unfortunately forgot to tie off. A very sad tragedy but where human error can play a factor, things like this can happen. Nobody ever goes to work with the notion they won't come home!

On Wisconsin committee to vote on junk food stamp bill

thisyear - I thought about it and I still feel they should be able to tell people what they can and can't purchase with food stamps. You don't have to agree with my opinion, but I do have a right to believe what I want too!

Sorry but if the state is giving people food stamps to get free food, then the state has the right to tell the food stamp recipients what they are to get with the food stamps!

Hindsight is always 20/20! If you were not there to deal with what was actually happening, then how do you know what he did was wrong? Some of you must also be awesome couch coaches too! He got the animal out of the road so a family didn't get killed by hitting it. He tied the animal up to attempt to find the owners and he came back 20 minutes later. Sounds like a valid attempt to me. Remember, they are police officers, not zoo keepers!

On Capitol debate looms on abortion

I always found it strange that Democrats support abortion but not the death penalty and Republicans support the death penalty but not abortion. Talk about your double oxymoron!

On Officer stabbed in Milwaukee

What is funny about the so called gun control is that it will not stop gun violence. It just won't! I saw a joke yesterday that was a picture of a group of gang banging thugs all holding random makes of guns with the caption, "Hey Dawg, now that there's a law against guns, where do we turns these in"! It made me laugh but its a sad reality, criminals got that label for one reason, they don't care about laws. You can outlaw the sales of assult rifles and high capacity magazines but what about the amount that is currently in circulation. There are more high capacity magazines in circulation today then there are people living in the US. At some point we still need to come back and deal with the problem. And the problem is "PEOPLE"! People make the choice to comit a crime and it's completely their choice! I found it a bit strange the mass stabbing that happened this past week in Texas really only was on TV for a day or two and pretty much went away. The story went away because it will take away from the scary guns the Gov. wants to take away. I can sit on the porch with my loaded .40 cal pistol sitting on the top step all day and nothing will happen. I've come to the determination it's either because guns kill from misuse or I've got the laziest gun on the planet.

If you want to slow the gun violence in this country then deal with the people. I'd be willing to pay another 2-3% of tax money if that went to purchase a lot of strong rope and needles to start putting the career criminals down. If we are really going to be hard on crime then lets make it an eye for an eye. Hell, do public hangings! I'd pay to watch some of these gang bangers that think they own turf swing from a beam! That may sound extreme but if you started dealing with the problem and get rid of their 20 years of appeals putting them front and center, they might start thinking twice about the life they are living. If you want to pass a law, do it against the media for sensationalizing these acts of violence. If my second ammendment rights can be taken away, how about hitting the 1st ammendment on them. Don't give the killer any coverage at all. Don't put his name, picture or anything about him on the news. Maybe then some of these nutjobs would stop wanting to out do the last nutjob because they won't get any coverage or their name won't go down in history!
