...."and here was an opportunity for students of color to hear a black president speaking about doing the right thing. "What a great role model."
Am I missing something, or aren't there hundreds of "opportunities" to see this OVER-EXPOSED President EVERY hour of the day? He is a media darling, and we do not need our schools to provide that "opportunity".....I would not disagree that he is a great role model to some......But let the parents choose who to expose their children to as a role model......And this link is EXACTLY why we do not want the schools injecting themselves into this......It clearly shows that at least SOME are too irresponsible and abuse the power of a captive audience.....This just disgusts me, as much as it would many of you if it were 2 years ago and a school produced that same garbage heralding somebody named George W. Bush.

Would it somehow be less tragic and painful to a victim if the perv is from Madison or Chicago? The answer is no! Why does it matter where the pervert is from? A pedophile's address matters? If somebody from Chicago comes here and rapes a child, should the cops ignore it? If somebody from Texas is willing to come here and deliver heroin, should the cops ignore it? What's the difference? Somebody said "nationwide". Get back to me on that when they start bringing in pervs from Rhode Island and Oregon. These pervs were all within about an hr of Milton. However wherever they're from, it's a good arrest, if they're willing to come here and rape our kids. All of you child molester apologists should just stop talking, you're showing your true colors. If the mere thought of your daughter, niece, neighbor girl, whatever, in a sleazy hotel room with one of these pervs doesn't make your skin crawl and be thankful for this, then you're showing your true colors. And ya, the 15 story says he spends about 2 hrs a week on this, and that's time well spent to me. Imagine if MPD dedicated more time? How many would they get? You don't think word will get out amongst the pervs that Milton cops are crawling all over this? It will, and they'll stop messing with kids from Milton. That's protecting and serving at its finest!

Thank you gma.....They are so wrong thinking that isn't plenty to show INTENT. "Just their thoughts".....PLEASE.....It is against the law even to "chat" about such things, if you have reason to believe that child is underage.....People that make excuses and throw this BS entrapment out there are ignorant at worst.....poorly informed at best.

MEANDMY......First, thank you for your service.....Second, you're foolish......That was an ignorant post. So, I guess what you're saying is.....if the cops find some lonely 35 year old that wants to sleep with a 15 year old.....It's almost acceptable to use the excuse that he hasn't had sex in forever? Then, at that point, it's OK to prey on the young? Your hypothetical "lonely man" is nonetheless a PERVERT......If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck......etc.....It's a pervert.....Again, what an IGNORANT post.

On Milton seeks cost-cutting measures

Probably. It's a win for the city, as that employees costs less, as they are not paying as much as the entire premium, had the employee not opted out. It's a win for our insurance system, as you don't have duplicate coverage that the taxpayer would be paying for, and it's actually a loss, in a sense, for the employee, because they are costing "less" for their services, than if they took the entire benefit to which they are entitled. Understand, backinblack?
