I was in there at lunch today. The toys are pretty picked over. There are more supplies typical for teachers left, such as workbooks and room decorations. So sad to see BB closing.

Thank you Dave for all you did for the Whitewater Community and UW Whitewater. You will be truly missed and never forgot. Hopefully this blog stays positive, as the article is about honoring a deceased man, not about bashing his business practices. Have some class.

My husband enjoyed snowblowing out many neighbors, including a single mom, a single women in her 60s, the newer next door neighbors, and a family that only has shovels and a long driveway. It made him feel good, but I suspect getting to drive his John Deere around was a bonus too! He mentioned afterwards that he hopes not to be expected to do it every time as it could be hard on his tractor. I said he hopefully won't be expected, but it is nice to help others!

The free items include 1/3 lb. original burger, fries and soft drinks. Other items will be regular price. PLEASE donate what you can, as CARE House is an awesome resource that Rock County is lucky to have. Thanks Fuddruckers and Faith Community! And I don't believe the church volunteers will be "pushing" religion, they are there to help with the hopefully large crowds and possibly share information on CARE House.

My office mate uses his phone book still (I just checked, it's from April 2008). So whenever he can't find a number, or when I see him grab it, I ask what he's looking for and then we race, I using the internet and he using the book. I almost always am the victor. It's simply a generational thing (he's in his mid 40s and I in my late 20s). But if you'd like to take your time when the book, go right ahead, I'll just be here with the internet getting my work done faster!
