"Britton said plans for a new Dean/St. Mary's facility in Janesville didn't directly fuel the merger." but it did impact it directly. "In an effort to avoid duplication, some services will be consolidated" means that there will be job loss but we are going to just say it now will we. As much as I do not care for the system it will be good for the area. Competition is good for business. Health care will have to be big business to even break even in the next few years. The age of small town health care is over.

Mr. Obama will never understand the needs of true Americans. BTW I can call him whatever the heck I want, so can you. He is not my president. (This should get the lefties going although it was their quote for 8 years)

SarahB1, it was very clear that Mercy was hing all their physicians and ceasing contracted ER physicians. Some of the physicians in The ER group did not want to leave their 'group', and the group quit as a group not the individual physicians. I personally know 2 of the physicians who were forced to work at BMH because of this and were very unhappy after many years of practice at Mercy. It is much better when a hospital employs the workers instead of contracting them out *(as was the case in Beloit last I checked) Any hospital who uses contract physicians has little to no control of which physicians work in the ER and who is hired, how they are paid etc.

Look it up at Medicare.gov. Beloit hospital tends to have lower patient outcomes and better patient satisfaction, while Mercy has better outcomes and worse patient satisfaction. So you can go where you get crappy care and be happy about it, or walk out of the hospital ticked off.

Every hospital makes mistakes. It has been a few years since we heard of surgical implements being left in someone.

So Doyle gets to dismiss what he doesn't like. I am tired of him driving our state into the ground. New blood can not come quick enough.
