I think DrTalk is referring to United Way nationally, not specifically the Rock County chapter......The local chapter might be ok, but UW will not be getting anything from me for ANY chapter because of the dirty and stupid stuff that has gone on with them in other areas.......Its too bad the bad ones spoil it for the good ones.

Isn't it nice, too, how fuel is so plentiful and cheap as to ship FOOD from these other countries?

As I said before, I'll say one of the main problems is dry indoor air ...

80 can "feel" cold if the house is real dry.

You know how "humidity" makes it feel hotter outside in the summer???

Thats nothing compared to all the credit-card- related and other junk mail.

Its hard to imagine, but I've seen lots of SEMI LOADS of identical pieces of junk mail ready to be put in the mail.

People that think they have it so hard here in the winter should go somewhere like Romania and live.

Some of those people can't afford ANY fuel for heat and its colder than here.

Those who get THAT upset over such minor circumstances just need a little perspective.

I called the company last year to find out where they were made .........CHINA

JohnDoe--Possibly some people with firsthand experience can shed some more light on the subject, although I could spend the night doing internet searches and probably fill up a whole page, I'm not going to use my time that way.

I do know that UW in other areas has stopped giving to the Boy Scouts altogether because the Boy Scouts will not hire "gay" scoutmasters.
