The best part is that becasue they fled the scene - they probably won't get a DUI. Did you know in wisconsin the penalty for fleeing is less severe than drunken driving (and we all know how severe that is)?

So if you've been drinking and your in an accident - why stay around - if you're going to get in trouble why not take the lesser of two evils.

Actually her issue has more to do with the fact that they want to award him an honarary degree, not the fact that they asked him to speak at the commencement. They also are using her as sort of a pawn given ND response.

I admire her and others who actually stand for what they believe in. It is easy to waver in the court of public opinion, especially when you see how some are treated for standing up for their convictions because it doesn't fit the PC answer.

As much as I like places that are smoke-free and that I wear my seat belt, I still don't think there should be laws to enforce these things.

Why shouldn't someone be given the choice not to wear a seatbelt or a restaurant owner not be allowed to decide whether his/her place is smoke-free. Let the market dictate-not government.

The problem is that as we grow more "intelligent" we believe we have all the answers and therefore live by our own rules.

The moral decay in this country is bringing us to our knees. People cheating to get ahead, lying, living lifestyles that would make our forefathers blush. One small example, the increase in the number of unwed mothers; many studies show the negative impact on the mother and the children both intellectually and financially. This increase is only creating a bigger burden on our society. It is disgusting that we have men out there that are failing in their duties as a father! Not only are you failing your children, you are failing your country!
