GF - Who can say who's interpretation is correct? Gods 10 commandments plus 2 (believe and be baptized) is not to hard to understand or misinterpret, it's all the rest, or the 'stories' that can be misconstrued.

I do not fear God, never have, How can you love someone if you fear them? The Catholic religion is into teaching you must fear, they also worship saints and Mary which in my eyes and my teaching, is wrong. I would never pray to or worship anyone but God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. Do I believe Catholics will burn in hell for saying hail Marys? No, because they will have Jesus to take their sins while standing before God on judgement day.
pro- "Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?" ...Of course I do!!
- "can you ask him and then tell us how an all loving god has an eternal torture chamber for those that do not believe?" I don't have to ask I already know the answer, which is-
God does not ask for much, Believe and be baptized, not hard to do to have eternity in Heaven. If you can't do that then you do not love Him so why he should love you, reward you?
As for hell, I've never been there, but there have been times in my life I could swear I was in hell already. Like when my baby died. For years I felt I was being punished, but it wasn't about me at all. My baby was blessed to go straight to Heaven, to never endure the pain and hatred of man. Like all the babies killed, To be taken to Heaven and never endure starvation, torture at the hands of man is a blessing.
I put in 12 hours at my office today and have several more hours of paper work and pay checks to make out, so I must end. and at noon tomorrow I leave town for a week, so I am not ignoring you GF I just have other duties in life.

pro- You have said over and over the bible is a myth so I guess you either 1) BELIEVE in the bible and wonder how I can " worship such a terrible evil character" or 2) have no basis for your comment about God being an evil character. Which is it?
Do you think it's all a fairy tale or are you in fact a believer that is upset because of how man treats his fellow man and God does nothing about it?
GF- will oneheck burn in hell because he is taught something different than what I was taught? NO. Will I burn in hell because I believe in something different than one heck? NO. As long as you believe and have been baptized you will enter into Heaven, plain very simple, and extremely easy. God's rules are not hard to obey.
Poo - yes I believe my God is not a loving God if you do not follow his simple rules. I am an old women - my father would beat us if we did not obey his rules, we knew what would happen if we did not follow his rules. How simple is that? Did it mean my father did not love us - his children? No.
You 3 have done nothing but toss out there that God is a myth, the bible is just a story book. So how can you toss out there all the horrors told in this book you believe to be a fairy tale? If you truly believe what you say over and over you might as well use the fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk, or Hansel and Gretel.

poo- I know about how one religion kills and destroys those that do not believe their version is the correct one. Still happening today, as we speak.
I have not harmed anyone personally nor would I back anyone who has.
Man of all religions hate, or try to control. I would be very unhappy had Romney won and started passing all his Mormon ways on the rest of us. I'd be shot before I was forced to wear his silly underpants!!
Pro I believe they teach since in school. The public schools I know of do not have religion classes, I'm also sure if you wanted your children taught evolution there is a private school for them just like parochial private schools. Or even like my family, learned of our beliefs at HOME and how to read write add and subtract at the public school.

Pro- you and I have talked about this subject before.
I believe a woman has the right to an abortion if she wants one, I believe she can take birth control if she wishes, I do feel Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist beliefs should be made law or forced on anyone. Period.
I will not be answering for what anyone else chooses to do on this Earth, I have my own to answer for.

gf- I know how the bible has been interpreted many many ways.
Jesus made a blind man see - the Christian on my left thinks that means Jesus gave a man with useless eyes sight, the Christian on my right thinks that means Jesus filled the mans heart with the Holy Spirit. Doesn't matter to me which theory is correct. I have my own thought on that verse, good enough for me. Again I will not be standing next to either so I don't care what is right or wrong, I'll find out in the end won't I.

GF- I have read enough of your posts to understand your beliefs. and I agree 100% about oneguy being wrong. Jesus is the son of God. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one.
I refuse to 'attack' him because his teachings are different than mine. If he wishes to believe Jesus is not God then so be it, no skin off my knee. I will not be standing next to him come judgement day, I will be standing with only Jesus.
I do not believe you must attend church to have the Holy Spirit in your heart, many, including my fellow church goers do, but then again many of my fellow church goers are judgmental gossiping down right mean people, but again I will not be standing next to them come my day of judgement so I don't care about their 'sins'.

I personally do not get 'mad' at someone because they do not believe what I do. But it seems atheists do, hence the reason you must argue non-stop. Please tell me what harm my belief does to you personally?
If you feel the bible is a myth, then your whole argument is removed, no? How can you debate about something that never happened, in your eyes? Are you the type that stands next to the line of children waiting to see Santa and yells out Santa is just a myth? I don't believe you do, so why must you with Christians?
