On Law enforcement won’t arrest Cullen without warrant

Posted on March 4 at 3:08 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Beyond the legal issues, couldn't this situation send law enforcement on a lot of wild goose chases. Are they going to follow-up every time someone "thinks" they saw one of these senators and go check it out?

On I need a doctor - stat!

Always remember not to compare new (new to the clinic) doctors with doctors that have been there for a while. When they first start, they are allowed more time with patients. Then... they are expected to "produce" and move through as many patients as possible in a day. That changes everything; a good doc can become mediocre in a hurry, because they are in a hurry all of the time.

Seems like one of our area health care providers is on a mission to keep that CT scan going 24/7.

Beware if you end up in the ER. That CT scan, just so the doc can be sure, will cost you around $6,000.

"More families and individuals are finally starting to watch the monthly statements..." Really? Are you just noticing this? Where have you been the last few years?

On Leaf pickup begins Nov. 8 in Janesville

I also live by Danbury, and there are a lot of people who like to walk in that area. There are no sidewalks, no curb and gutter, and the road is two cars wide at best.

I hope no one on that street would need emergency services of any kind because it would be almost impossible for a fire truck to make it through.

I noticed there is a very considerate couple who lives on Amherst where the streets have the same layout. The have raked their leaves to the edge of the lot but not on the road, keeping things safe. I would like to thank them for their courtesy.

It's only a real deadline if they can come up with the money by then. If they can't, the'll make up a new deadline.

Should Craig students get the textbooks they need? Apparently not, because a lot of students can't get them, and teachers cannot assign homework til all have them.

Who's to blame? The school board, the prinicpal?

On Janesville schools consider cuts to sports

I agree sports can be a path to responsibility and discipline, but sports are not the only path.

I've watched a family where the children love softball, and the parents support it fully. Dad is always on the field coaching and Mom always participates in organizing fundraisers, etc. The kids may be learning a lot from tossing the ball around, but I feel they are benefitting more knowing their parents are involved and engaged in what they are doing.

Kids who don't participate in traditional school sponsored sports can gain a lot from their parent's involvement in other activities, too.

If you care about school sponsored sports, then get involved.

Excellent opportunity for those who feel sports is a vital part of our education system. They can step up and volunteer to fill the gap, giving their time, rather than everyone else's money, to the program.

On Senior community changes hands

I don't know the family and mean no disrespect. They must be hard-working. They could not have built a successful business otherwise.

Having had a relative reside at the Huntington for 2+ years, the overall experience was positive. However, it was crystal clear that it was a for-profit business venture, not a community service project.
