Our city council members will decide this issue and I HOPE they do not vote for it. Chickens should not be allowed in the city of Janesville. Also, if any city council members do read this...an ice arena during these tough economic times should never be built. Please reconsider what you voted for. Many of us cannot find jobs and now are taxes are going to go up to support what a small number of citizens want. It does not make sense!!!!

WELL WRITTEN MACDADDY! You are so correct - nobody does care about the low paying jobs until the economy spirals downward. Also, just wondering if the building of the ICE ARENA will help our economy. My main concern is for the workers out of work like Sanford (and including me)that will now be asked to pay more on our taxes. Many of us are trying to pay bills, mortgage, etc and now face an increased tax bill for a luxury(THE ICE ARENA) that is not needed at this time.

Please keep an open mind until the case is tried out in the courts. We still - hopefully - live in a society that says we are innocent until proven guilty. Yes, it does not look good for him, but facts, evidence, etc. will soon be presented.

MILTON AVE./KETTERING STREET - I travel through this intersection several times during the day and each time someone runs a redlight! How hard would it be for the police to park off to one side and start to catch those that run through the redlights? Someone is going to be killed or hurt really bad if they don't do something. Traffic enters the city with speeds over 55 mph when it is supposed to be 45mph. They can't and don't stop because they are going so darn fast!

Read This PLEASE - WAKE UP CITY COUNCIL! So you want to "get tough" on those that don't shovel sidewalks. I live in the city in an area with no sidewalks and they are going to cut back on plowing. So now when I have to go for a walk(where there is NO sidewalks)I will have to walk in the city street that they are now probably not going to plow because they want to cut back on plowing. I have had to call city council members last year just to get our street plowed after snow storms. If you are cutting back on plowing, then put sidewalks on both sides in ALL city neighborhoods! I moved here from another city that had sidewalks and cannot believe that I have to walk in the street where cars go speeding by. Final point I will be checking the city council members that want to "get tough" to see if they shovel their sidewalk in a timely manner.
