Acting vs. Reacting

We can shape our lives, or be shaped by them. We can act, or we can react. At times, I feel that I'm always reacting to my daughter's misbehavior after the fact. Instead, I vow to try and be proactive: to keep her engaged and prevent naughtiness before it begins.
