"Rock County's Unsolved Murders"

By ANN MARIE AMES   Friday, May 25, 2012 - 10:01 a.m.

I have a rather pleasant interview scheduled for a Friday morning.

I plan to meet with Beloit author Terri Garcia, who has written "Rock County's Unsolved Murders."

She self-published the books out of her own pocket and is donating money from every book sold to CrimeStoppers.

Garcia's former friend, David Landwehr, died in 1988. The person arrested and charged with the murder was released from jail on a mix-up and was not apprehended until 2007.

I'll tell you all about it in a story sometime next week.

Happy Friday to you.

'Should be an interesting interview, Ann Marie. I'm a "townie" and remember many of the more violent murders in Janesville. So sad. So much a dark part of our humanity!
. . .
'Still wonder about the liquor story murder - - in the cooler - - in late 60s - - when I drive past that site on West Court Street.
