The blotter

By TED SULLIVAN ( Contact )   Tuesday, November 10, 2009 - 1:51 p.m.

Here are a few old reports that I never published:

Police escort

A mother on West Wall Street in Janesville had an argument with her 16-year-old daughter.

Her daughter refused to go to school.

An officer took the girl to school.

Loogie

A teacher at Edison Middle School was having problems with four kids.

The kids were seen standing near the teacher’s truck.

The teacher later found his vehicle’s door handle covered in spit.

Poor Veda

A man and woman had been living together on South Main Street in Janesville.

They broke up.

When the woman moved out, she left her three cats and one dog.

The man found new homes for the cats, but no one wanted the female pit bull named Veda.

The Rock County Humane Society took the dog.

I think it's fantastic that mom made her daughter go to school - even if it took calling the cops.
