Winter sports on the Gazette Sports Network

By KYLE GEISSLER   Thursday, October 22, 2009 - 7:42 a.m.

The chill in the air means winter sports enthusiasts are preparing for their season to get underway.

The Gazette Sports Network is there for Rock County sports groups to share results and photos from their contests, generate interest in their group and share announcements.

Some of the winter sports we cover on the Gazette Sports Network include: basketball, bowling, darts, hockey, skiing, snowboarding, and wrestling.

If you are involved in winter sports activities and would like to be involved in the Gazette Sports Network, please contact us or ask your coach or organization leader to sign on. It's free.

If you’re interested, you can e-mail or phone 1-888-853-7904.

There are also advertising opportunities available. Contact Shar Hermanson for more information.

Don't forget curling. The curling club is having an Open House Saturday 12:00-4:00 at the fairgrounds Blackhawk Center. Olympian Debbie McCormick will be there.

Darts and bowling aren't really WINTER sports when comparing to hockey, skiing and curling.
