Online…on the radio
If you listen to WCLO 1230 AM in the mornings, you may have heard me on the air this morning around 6:20. You can expect to hear me there most weekdays.
In my daily chats with Bob Dailey, I'll be talking about what I'm working on. I work with both the Janesville Gazette and WCLO/WJVL newsrooms, so I’ve got a nice view of what’s going on.
But instead of previewing the paper, I’m going to focus on what stories are getting extra attention in both newsrooms. Today, for example, I talked about Stacy Vogel’s profile of Ed Martinez, an employee at the Rock County Job Center who has 30 years of experience with General Motors. I talked about the interview I did with Stacy about the profile and where people can hear it online.
I will also take some time to talk about what’s going on online. We will discuss the online polls, blogs, podcast, videos, stories users are commenting on, and other online content.
Tune in around 6:20 everyday to hear what the newsrooms and online team are up to.

I have prized being able to get UPDATES from YOU on air first thing in the morning weekdays, KYLE! What about getting you on THE STAN MILAM SHOW from time to time so listeners are able to CALL and ASK YOU questions? Keep up the good work! John

sannio, you're not digging the Huntington Place Singers and the Webco Singers? You should Google the internet and download their acapella albums.

Hey, I made it until 6:48 this morning! No commercials! OK, maybe one, or two. Unfortunately, I turned on WCLO just as you were signing off.

I usually turn on WCLO at that time, and by 6:35 I'm so frustrated by all the commercials I turn it off. Everyday I do this, and everyday I swear I'll never turn on the radio again. I'm insane. Some of those commercial jingles are horrible. I won't name names, but one is for a credit union, another for senior living, and one for a seed company.
