A Lion in the Library

By JAMIE SWENSON   Thursday, January 26, 2012 - 6:03 p.m.

On Saturday, January 28th the Children’s Department will kick off our 2012 winter/spring Family Fun Events by celebrating Lunar New Year - and let me tell you - this is an event that the little ones will remember for a very long time. Why? Well, for one thing, you just don’t see a giant, colorful, Chinese lion dancing and weaving throughout the library all that often.

Did you know that the lion brings luck for the coming year? And that dancing lions love lettuce? I learned that last year.
