Shameless favor-asking
Ah, the beauty of the Internet--and in particular, GazetteXtra.com, where readers have for almost a year been able to leave comments on stories that sometimes have proven quite helpful to us reporters. In fact, we've been known to pilfer the story and blog comments for story ideas and local sources.
But I can't peruse any longer. I just need to plain come out and ask for your help.
A little more than a week ago, I wrote a blog seeking tips from readers for saving money at the grocery store. I received a ton of feedback--70 comments worth!--and I plan on referring to the post in the paper so readers can take a look at all the comments, not just the ones I'll feature in the newspaper in a week or so.
One comment caught my attention. A first-and-only-time user named u2katie posted an excellent comment about how she's able to use coupons to her utmost advantage. I wanted to do a feature about her, but I haven't been able to get in touch with her. Or the other user who seemed to have a similar story.
sigh
With a deadline looming, I'm starting to panic.
I'm in desperate search of a coupon king or queen who'd let me in on a few secrets of the scissors.
If that's you, or your relative or your neighbor, tell me about them. Or tell them to get in touch with me at kbunge@gazettextra.com or (608) 755-8251.

That's funny, because when I checked out Aldi a few years ago everything was the same, or slightly more, than Woodmans. I guess it just depends on what you shop for (also that was a couple years ago). Sorry Kalya, I don't know any coupon royalty.

I have also heard that Big Lots has some stuff, but is WAY cheaper too.

First thing, go to Aldi, most things you can find there will be less money than anywhere else and some of their stuff is BETTER than any of the name brand stuff anywhere else.
.
Their cereal deals can't be beat.
