Woot! Woot! Janesville!

By Ann Marie Ames ( Contact )   June 26, 2008 - 10:10 p.m.

Parker High School class of '94 graduate Andi Smith appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" Thursday night. It was the first of two semi-final shows. The next will be next Thursday at 7:30.

That means next week, we can expect to see Craig's '95 grad, Pete Lee.

It's just about mind-boggling to have two kids. from the City of Parks manage to get face time on the same national TV show.

The audience on my couch Thursday night honestly belly laughed at Andi's jokes.

We were honestly surprised when she didn't make the cut.

Her jokes that killed ...

They were smart, athough delivered in a dumb girl facade.

They were silly.

And they were solid.

But she used two of the seven words you can't use on a newspaper Web site. So you'll have to either trust me or check out Andi's clips on the NBC site.

I agree! We thought Andi was among the best, and those picked were some of our least favorites. Luckily Pete will fit the male requirement so he should fare better than Andi did.

Finally someone(s) to be proud of. Go Janesbergians!!
