It's simply awful about the waffles.
After one of my newscasts on WCLO Wednesday afternoon, Rose Stricker made a stunning announcement: Kellogg is rationing its Eggos due to problems at two of its bakeries.
Maybe it's because I watched Ghostbusters cartoons over the weekend, but this seems like some sort of deranged plot by the Pillsbury Doughboy. I don't have a particular brand loyalty when it comes to frozen waffles, those potato chips of the breakfast food world. But somehow it seems wrong that Kellogg is rationing its waffles to stores.
Can't we retool Janesville's GM plant to make waffles? Everyone wins in that situation! Plus, Janesville will smell like a bakery. I fail to see a problem with that scenario.
Also, if we really want to see minds explode on the comments here, chicken and waffles is a popular dish in some areas of the country.
Whoa.

Great idea, Adam!
I had a bacon waffle today at Riverside Cafe. Bacon inside a waffle! Ingenious!!

If the Janesville GM plant starts making waffles, I will totally move back.
No automation, though — I would want row after row of chefs with puffy white hats and handlebar mustaches, pouring batter on hot waffle irons in unison. Preferably to old-timey music.

Eggos are not worth the paper they taste like. The Real Waffles of the World (RWW) should sue Kelloggs for calling these inferior products "waffles."

Thankfully, the Eggo waffle shortage won't impede the Vogel-Davis household from making its famous Belgian waffles. Now if Aunt Jemima had a shortage, that would really be a problem.
