Bring your stormwater concerns
Just a reminder that tonight's the night for your stormwater concerns.
The public works committee meets at 6 p.m. for its monthly meeting, but it also will discuss a variety of stormwater concerns.
Information will be provided by city engineer Dave Sauer, and Foth's stormwater specialist Mike Liebman. Joe DeYoung of MSA Professional Services also will provide info as he has recent experience with hydraulic studies in the area for a private development, according to a letter from committee chair Mason Braunschweig.
Braunschweig writes: "The main focus of the meeting is to discuss surface water drainage in the general South Sixth Street area, including both immediate and long-term improvement options. There will also be some discussion applicable to the entire city regarding floodplains, the pending new FIRM maps, the city's CRS score and the possibility of the city establishing a stormwater utility."
The meeting is at city hall, 31 S. Madison St.

Matt, Do you have a suggestion to offer? Are you in need of attention? I've noticed your willingness to offer puff balls but no solutions. You have plenty of time to bloviate but not to offer any substance.
