Not quite breaking news, but this just in...

The Evansville Community Partnership sent over the winners of the Fourth of July parade and karaoke contest.

More than 70 groups participated in the parade with Todd Campbell serving as announcer. Judges Vicki Lecy-Luebke, Nancy Greve-Shannon and Ken Kuelz selected the following winners:

Most Patriotic – Larson Acres Dairy

Best Representation of Theme – Union Bank & Trust

Most Creative – Porter 4-H

Dee Losey Best Overall Award - Magnolia 4-H

Twenty talented singers took the stage Sunday, July 6 for the 3rd Annual Evansville Idol Karaoke.

Kari Dray from 105.9 The Hog, Kathy Romano and Rosie Moscato, who both host Friday night Karaoke events at Romano’s Pizzaria & Lounge in Evansville, judged the competition's three rounds.

Cadillac Cruisers Karaoke hosted the show with Greg Ardisson of The Night Owl as emcee.

Without further ado:

1st place: Turon Harper "making George Jones proud with 'He Stopped Lovin’ Her Today'"

2nd place: Sarah Brockham "sounding just like Patsy with 'Sweet Dreams'"

3rd place: Denise Miller with her "lovely, powerful voice"

Other finalists were Norm Hagen, Kristin Jorgenson, Al Harris, Sarah Gabriels, Tiffany Lewis, DJ Buchanann, and Nick Waite.

The competition was sponsored by The Bank of Evansville and the top three winners received a cash prize.
