Fall beauty
I just love this time of year, as long as temperatures don't keep dipping below normal and snow flies early.
Today is a beautiful fall day to be outside--sunshine, comfortable temps and colorful trees. The picture above is just begging for little kids playing in a big pile of leaves.
I snapped a few pictures around Evansville today because I just love the big yellow trees.
What's your favorite place in the area to see fall colors? Can you guess where these trees were?

Thanks for playing along, everyone. Dan is half right...it is Seminary yard. Bingo, jmtomlin. It is East Main, taken from the gas station parking lot.

The last one is obviously on Main St because of the light poles (the ornate cast iron ones). My wife and I can't agree on the exact location, to me it looks like W Main, you can see the slight hill further down the street where the 4th St intersection is. She thinks it could be E Main St, the slight hill would then be in the downtown area.
I am guessing the second picture are trees at Lake Leota Park (stretching over the lake), and also the 3rd picture, the rougher contrete is probably from the retaining wall along Allen Creek.

Great pics. One of my favorite spots is Palmer Park - especially in the mid afternoon when the sun seems make the colors even more intense.

The first one is looking east from 4th street past the Seminary toward Church street. The 2nd is also looking east, this time from Church street between 2nd and 1st streets. Just guesses, good pics, thanks!
