Where are you shopping this Christmas season?
Christmas is two weeks away and the small Christmas list that I've accumulated is almost complete. Unlike previous years, I've done most of my shopping online. Come to think of it, I've done all of my shopping online. I try to support our local establishments but many of the locals don't have what my list includes.
The toys would be found at Toys R Us or Target. The clothes - any major retailer. Instead of racing home after work its been much easier to login to amazon.com, make my purchase and so far, shipping has been free. It's hard to beat shopping from the comfort of my living room.
I'm going to try to finish up my shopping this weekend and I'll finally step foot in a local retail location. I have a number of restaurant gift cards to purchase and I do have one electronic 'want' on the list. If I decide to make that purchase it will probably be at Home and Pro Electronics (formerly Team) instead of Best Buy. Pine Tree Plaza and the weeks before Christmas does not interest me at all. I also have a true local purchase to make from a local artisan. I'll make a stop but realized yesterday that I could have made that purchase online too.
I passed on Gray Thursday and Black Friday. I even passed on cyber Monday. This year I made my list, entered it online and brought my Christmas shopping home. It was fairly stress free!
How's your Christmas shopping coming? Where are you making most of your purchases?
