How to remove bumper stickers

By STEVE KNOX   Wednesday, June 6, 2012 - 6:40 a.m.

There are parents who proudly display their honor roll students, parents who remind those parents that their kid can beat up the honor roll kids and then there are those who wear their political beliefs on their bumper. Ah, bumper stickers!

I've never been a fan of bumper stickers because I don't want the adhesive to ruin the finish on the car.  Today, as we move forward, there may be a few people who may want to remove one to stay politically current.

Thanks to You Tube I think I've found your solution.

Did you cover your Bush/Quale '92 sticker with Recall?  If so, good luck. I think you'll need more than an over-the-top video to solve that one.

At least the sign and sticker makers made some coin during the last year.

I'm glad it's over and I think most are ready to move forward - sans bumper stickers ;-)

Happy hump day.

*Just cover it with the "WI sold out to highest bidder" sticker.*

I guess it's too bad that the unions couldn't put in the highest bid even though they tried so hard.

I am with totellthetruth. It is widely known in the industry that the paint the Japanese put on is inferior/thin. I wonder how many of these bumper stickers will remain on those Pro-Union, Japanese made, Anti-Walker vehicles in fear of damaging them? LOL.......

I think the grasping at straws over any charges is hillarious. So far the left fring wants to charge based on guilt by association. Still waiting for one of these people to point out that charge in the criminal code anywhere...

I hear some are having success removing their "Recall Walker" bumper stickers by blowing on it lightly with their crow breath.

Who's clueless? I was was pointing out your once again hypocrisy - you demonize GOV. Walker for the amount he spent but never say a word about what obama spent in 2008. Apparently I need to hold your hand thru this conversation - blinded by your own hatred.

Not to mention the amount the unions spent in WI over the last 3 elections. Make no mistake about it, the WI Supreme Court election, the Senate recall and the Governor recall election were ALL about Scott Walker. Total them up and you'll see who's side actually spent more money.

Some just come back for a short visit, and a chance to vote. So sad.

NVgrf, please leave your sticker on your car. We're kinda proud that you're FROM Wisconsin too. ☺

Use a blow dryer to warm the sign, peel it off. Then use goop or WD40 to get the sticky off.

Taking a sticker from a window is as simple as using a razor blade. I'd be interested in trying this on the actual painted part of a bumper.

I always wondered why they chose red as their color for the stickers. would blue have not been more appropriate? perhaps now they can cover them with "Indict Walker". they'd only need half a sticker, i.e. half the cost.
