Your first 5K, pancakes and pie
I know someone who is running her first 5K this morning. I'm running too. The best part of running today is running for a cause - the YWCA's Race Against Racism. According to the YWCA Facebook page, there are almost 400 runners running against racism. Oh, a bonus is a pancake breakfast after the run!
If pancakes and running aren't your 'thing' the Morning Rotary Club is holding their annual Pie Ride starting at Lions Beach this morning. They offer a 100K, 50K and 30K ride. After you cross the finish line you get a pie! Proceeds go to various Rotary Club sponsored events throughout the community.
Both events start at 8 this morning so if you aren't signed up you better get going! To those who say there's nothing to do in Janesville I say - Hogwash! Speaking of, the annual Tub Run starts later today from Kutter. Yes, another charitable and fun event in Janesville.
Note to self - heels are not needed for this 5K. Those are left for the 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' fundraiser.
Enjoy your weekend!

I am actually replacing mine with Obama/Biden 2012 stickers. Romney coming to Janesville? Blah Blah Blah, Rehtoric, Rhetoric. Tell us something we haven't already heard. The middle class is fast disappearing. Romney is a repeat of the disaster of 2008. Get used to it if you put him in the White House.

Or you could spend the day removing your bumper stickers.

The Tub Run kicks off at noon sharp with a parade of bikes through Janesville. Winding through the county to down town Beloit for a short break and then out to the Thresher's park for the rest of the day and evening. Many events going on so come one come all. All designed to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Everyone is welcome. You don't have to ride a motorcycle to enjoy the fun.
