Two bodies found in Edgerton home
EDGERTON—Police this morning were investigating two bodies found inside the home at 39 Mildred Ave., Police Chief Tom Klubertanz said.
Police were dispatched at 8:08 a.m. for a “check welfare” at the address. They were not releasing names, cause of death or any other details by The Janesville Gazette’s deadline later this morning.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Edgerton police, and the Rock County Coroner’s Office were on scene.
The house was surrounded with police tape. A car parked on the street and a vehicle in the driveway also were surrounded by police tape.
The Rock County Humane Society was called by police to pick up two dogs—an English bulldog and an American bulldog—that were in the back yard. Police still were trying to catch a cat in the house, according to a humane society spokeswoman.

Police Chief Tom Klubertanz (right) talks with a Rock County Sheriff's deputy outside the home at 39 Mildred Ave., Edgerton, where police are investigating two bodies found inside.

LOL @ OkieFed.
avidreader: you've been posting on these blogs long enough to know somoeone will pull the CCAP's card out. People are generally curious, right or wrong. I was simply stating that the exact address was not needed but I'm sure that is standard protocol in a story like this. Why must you read further into it than that?

Oh my, why would anybody feel the need to do a reverse look up, or even look up someones my space if they have no idea who these people are? I understand the internet can make you as nosey as you want to be, but seriously, do you people have lives? And how many of you super nosey sleuths decided to get real nosey and do a drive by, I would bet probably everyone of you. It amazes me what people do to entertain themselves.

I was simply asking why the gazette printed the exact adress? Nothing more than that. I guess I just wanted to let them know it wasn't necessary, you know before the CCAP's people get on and let everyone know how horrible these people were.

Stop reading into things!

From WKOW
Monday 8/18/08 1:45 p.m. UPDATE
Edgerton Police tell 27 News the incident was a murder-suicide involving a couple in their 20s.
Neighbors tell us they were just married last October.
Police also say they responded to the house Saturday night for medical reasons involving mental health, and one of the residents got treatment.

No, we should NOT “stop these blog pages”. You need to stop reading them if they bother you. Just a suggestion to anyone who loses a friend or family member, and the story appears in the paper: don’t read the blogs. Because it isn’t all going to be sweetness and light. Some people will put up postings that are simply ignorant or mean, but some will quite naturally point out when the deceased did something foolish to hasten their own demise. So, don’t scream for censorship, just stop reading. And stop whining about it.

Uh oh, I found one that did report my name. I guess withholding the name, but not the address is moot with today's technology

The young couple who own the house, they recently married. I found her myspace page, they are a nice looking couple. If they are gone, my prayers are with them and their families.

By golly, reverse lookup still works for addresses. I thought that was discontinued due to privacy concerns, like our property lookup thing on the Janesville website. Didn't work for my address though, so I will say the result is unverified.

I think blog postings are great, EXCEPT in cases where someone has died or been severely injured as a result of an accident. It is very disrespectful to the families and friends to come here and see all the nonsense bickering or rude comments about their loved ones.

DW and 1919eternal, I agree with you both, people need to get a clue ( or use some common sense) when posting a blog.. I think that they just want o see their names in print on the internet...how sad !!! suggestion to GAZETTE STAFF.. STOP THESE BLOG PAGES, SO THE REST OF US CAN ENJOY THE NEWS (WHAT EVER IT MAY BE)

As someone who recently buried her brother after a terrible accident you should know how devastating these comments can be. You don't know....do you know where everyone in your family is? PLEASE have some compassion for the families.

A reverse lookup is a good start, but it doesn't mean the people who own the house (the ones who appear on the reverse lookup) are the ones who died.

With reverse look up anyone can find a name. Why report the exact house number?
