From the National Weather Service:

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee has issued a winter storm watch for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon.

Another winter storm will develop over the mid Mississippi river valley Saturday morning and strengthen over the great lakes region Saturday night. Snow will develop over southern Wisconsin late Saturday afternoon and persist through Sunday. Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are possible.

In addition, winds will strengthen to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph behind a strong cold front after midnight Saturday night, producing considerable blowing and drifting snow. Visibilities will likely be reduced to below one half of a mile due to blowing snow.

Near blizzard conditions will be possible in open areas at times by Sunday morning.

Those with travel plans Saturday night and Sunday need to stay updated to the latest developments about this winter storm.

A winter storm watch for snow and blowing snow is issued when snow and blowing snow has the potential to cause significant impacts to commerce and society. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts for updates and possible warnings.

Anyone else tired of having to drive on the snow before you can get it shoveled or get the snow blower out? Then the tire tracks are there until a warm up or even spring! Then you can't ever get the driveway cleared right, after it's been driven on with snow.
.
At least the city plow drivers are more predictable and reliable than the damn snowfalls. You clear it off, and there it is again. Last night I parked in the yard (4X4), just to keep from having to deal with the snow pack! (It worked).

I pay these crooks over $100/week and I usually have a 2 day waiting period for the plows. The only way I can get plowed early in the morning is to mix myself a few martinis. Hiccup*

Was plowed at 6:15am and again at 9:30am. Live downtown, on a hill. Cleaned out my driveway and enjoyed the rest of the day.
Went to the Mall in the afternoon and based on the amount of traffic on the road and the parking lot at the Mall and at Woodman's, a lot of people were able to get out one way or another. So, Continue to complain, the unlucky few, after all, we should be down to about 30 more snows for you to complain about.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

Went out after work and snowblowed my sidewalk.
It was pretty deep. I finished and went in the house to sit down and what do you suppose
happened? The snow plow went flyen down the street and completly covered my sidewalk again.
Not just mine but all of the sidewalks in the neighborhood. I had to go out and do it all over again. The snow was so heavy my big snowblower had a heck of a time going through it. Happens every time.

Golfan, I'm with you. It's amazing how they have no problem collecting the taxes, but they are very selective on who will receive the services which are paid for with said taxes.

I live on a street that has not been plowed yet today, and was also "skipped" during all three previous storms. I pay taxes just like the people who DO have their streets plowed!

We got plowed an hour or so ago - and after spending 30 minutes clearing the tiniest of spaces at the bottom of my driveway - my amazing neighbor came and plowed it for me! Some people are so nice and it really helps get through these fun winters - and isn't that why we live in WI anyways? For the nice people?!

I live on Lilac Lane and the plows came by about 10:30am. I do own a new Tahoe so it was nice to be able to drive around and not get stuck. Saw alot of cars that couldnt make it out to the main streets that were plowed. Thankfully for some of them I carry a tow rope and pulled them out. 1 nice older lady wanted to pay me. Told her to give it to salavation army. With more snow on the way { 4-8 } by Sunday, I am thankful that I bought a new big craftsman 2 stage. My neighbors are thankful also.

Maybe they can tell who whines about the crappy plow service on these boards and does their street last.
Just sayin........

Mine have not been plowed since 2 storms ago and yet my(increased) tax bill came right on time. They want us to buy Tahoes and Suburbans I guess? My wife was suppose to go to work today and our cars won't even come close to moving on our street.
