Red says-"RUSerious You have made 364 posts to "gazetteextra" and not one of them makes any sense nor has a single one been written as a complete sentence."
Hmmm-a minor exaggeration, wouldn't you say? And you're wrong, anyway-it's 366 posts-less than 1 a day. So?
But if anyone really cared, people would just have to go check on my sentence structure and grammatical skills in the "files".
Is that ridiculous insult because I (childishly) pointed out your spelling of: "defened" "myselft" "attemp" after they deleted your post about Hannah's writing skills? (In the same post, I commented positively on your oft repeated poem, too.) :'(
Oh well, this story is NOT about our grammer discussion, so let's take it outside. (But you're right about one thing, I did go to Adams school.)

I was raised in the 70's and 80's as a GM kid. I am thankful my Dad had such a good job and was able to support our family. Our community has been hit hard by the economy in more ways than we care to remember. Please be thankful you still have your life and families at this time, cause jobs will come and go, but all we have is each other. My family and I are dairy producers so we know what it is like to suffer finacially, but we are rich in family and friends. God Bless

I found a job away from Jville almost two years ago. Sold my house to save the commute. Now I found another job. I work two jobs, my second one is better pay than my primary job. Don't believe you can not find work. Work is available. Yeah I have to work two jobs to make 75,000 a year but it can be done. No matter what is going on you need to continue networking and looking. By the way I never liked the idea of only being able to work at GM if you were blesse dwith a family member who worked there. Thank you GM workers for your dedication and but enough IS enough.

RUSerious You have made 364 posts to "gazetteextra" and not one of them makes any sense nor has a single one been written as a complete sentence. Go back to Adams School to Miss Lane's kindergarden class to be properly socialized. Then you may procede to the higher grades to properly learn how to read and write.

Beeferer How many places are you going to whine and moan about your poor health and your inability to secure a job? In fact (for better or worse) you will soon realize that nobody cares.

I am at the retirement age. I have health issues. I am more than willing to work, but no one is hiring. I have had 4 years of college, but at my age all I hear is "We are cutting back." Even during the Christmas season! Oh and Red- Just how many places are you going to post that cornball ditty?

I want to thank the GM workers for their efforts through the years and to wish them the best. Stay positive and everything will work out. (And, no, I don't have a job right now either. However, I refuse to give up and I don't want any of you to either.)

Mariekos - yes it is indeed very sad. That is why, in the face of utter hopelessness human beings were given the ablility to laugh at the absurdity of our human condition and move on. As the great jazz singer Peggy Lee sang: I remember when I was a very little girl, our house caught on fire. I'll never forget the look on my father's face as he gathered me up in his arms and raced through the burning building out to the pavement. I stood there shivering in my pajamas and watched the whole world go up in flames. And when it was all over I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a fire?" If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing. Let's break out the booze and have a ball.

Red-that's so sad.
Pwrtrip-Your heartlessness is stunning, especially this time of year. No one wants a pity party. Not having a job is a terrible hardship.
I wish everyone the best.

'Twas the night afore Christmas and all through the plant not a creature was stirring not even an ant. The smokestacks were shuttered by the paint shop with care hoping soon that St. Nicholas would bail them out with some flair. The unions were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of concessions danced in their heads. And Obama in her 'kercheif, and Barak in his cap, had just settled in to fill a great gap. When out on in the lot there arose such a clatter, I sprang from Cherry Street to see what was the matter. Away to the power plant I flew singin' rap, Tore open the boiler to steal it for scrap. The moon on the empty lot covered in snow, gave the lustre of equipment being hauled out with a backhoe. When what to my wondering eyes should appear but thousands of workers terrified by fear. With a rep of the state so lively with daring, I knew in a moment it must St. Welfaring. And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, the foreclosures and tax defaults handed out in a poof! And from GM I heard an exclaim, as they jetted to Detroit here is how it came, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night, isn't this all so very out of sight!"

A bad moon arising- GM in bankruptcy will make this a footnote in the obituary that is being written. Detroit haters will not be exempt from the economic fallout soon to hit the midwest. Even the most Toyota loving UAW hating people, in the near future perhaps will say, maybe we were wrong! Good luck Janesville you are going to need it
