Man severely beaten in Bloomfield Township
BLOOMFIELD—A Bloomfield man is in critical condition at St. Luke’s Medical Center in West Allis with life-threatening injuries caused at the hands of his son, police believe.
Jacob D. Newer, 26, is suspected of beating his father, David J. Newer, 57, at the Inn-B-Tween motel on County H between Pell Lake and Lake Geneva, Walworth County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau Capt. Dana Nigbor said.
Jacob Newer was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of disorderly conduct stemming from a domestic dispute. He will likely have a bail hearing Thursday afternoon facing a pending charge of substantial battery, Nigbor said.
If David Newer dies as a result of the injuries, the charges could be much greater, she said.
Police believe David Newer sustained the injuries about 3 a.m. Tuesday. A family member found him and he was not taken to the hospital until after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nigbor said.
The hospital called police to report the incident, Nigbor said.

Creepy isn't the word. He looks like a Big Boy doll with a bad case of sociopathic psychosis.

I have to agree with thinkspring, both my older brother and sister made what people would think are 'wrong' choices. I on the other hand am on the complete opposite of the spectrum, I finished high school, went to college and kept myself out of trouble. Just goes to show the consequence of choice

I hate to admit this but I do know both of these people. Yes they are both alcoholics, who have been in and out of jail for most of their lives. I believe that this is what's wrong with our court system today. These two I believe are a danger to our society. They can be in jail for up to three years and get released, and it's not even hours after being released from jail, and they are drinking and driving and doing the same things they were doing to be put into jail in the first place. People like this don't get reformed while in jail, so why is the court system constantly releasing them back into society? It isn't until an innocent family or by stander gets hurt that the courts crack down on people like this! We all knew it was only going to be a matter of time before they ended up hurting somebody, but we never would have thought it would have been his own father. I am just so relieved that it was not a family with kids. Someone commented on the up bringing of Jacob. I honestly believe that we all have a choice in the way we turn out as adults. Do you take the road of crime and drugs and alcohol, or the road of prosperity, honesty, and loyalty? You can chose to be like your parents or you can chose not to, again it's YOUR CHOICE! Once you choose, you cannot blame anyone else or society for your screw ups! Jacob is going to have to take responsiblity for this, and I can only hope that the courts don't go easy on him, and that justice will be served so no one else gets hurt.

chances are both of them were drunk and/or on drugs. This place where they were doesn't exactly attract the higher or even middle echelon of society. Either way how does one not have enough respect for their parents to do this? I'm sure upbringing had something to do with it. Judging by the picture quite possibly mental problems also.

I could never imagine beating any of my parents or siblings for any reason. I wonder what goes through these people's heads when they beat up the one who raised them. Maybe the father started the fight? Maybe he was drunk and out of line? Either way, I could never imagine throwing punches/kicks/anything at the people who raised me and have stuck with me through the toughest times of my life, even when I was a rebellious teenager.
