Winter weather advisory issued
The National Weather Service in Milwaukee has issued a winter weather advisory, which is in effect from 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday.
Areas of rain ahead of a cold front will change to a mixture of freezing rain, sleet and snow late tonight as the front passes. The mixed precipitation will then change to all snow as much colder air surges across southern Wisconsin. A total of 2 to 3 inches of snow accumulation is expected by mid morning Monday.
A winter weather advisory is issued when a mixture of snow, and/or sleet, and/or freezing rain will cause difficult travel. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
