New superintendent named in Milton
From Milton School Board President Sue Johnson:
The Milton Board of Education is pleased to announce that Bernard Nikolay has accepted the position of superintendent, effective July 1, 2008. Mr. Nikolay will replace the current superintendent, Peg Ekedahl, who will be retiring at the end of June. Mr. Nikolay’s contract will be formally approved at the regular board meeting on Monday, March 10.
Bernard Nikolay is presently an elementary principal in the Oak Creek-Franklin School District. The Oak Creek-Franklin district is located near Milwaukee and includes 5700 students. Prior to his current position, Mr. Nikolay served as a teacher and principal in the Marshall School District. Before starting his educational career, he was a police officer in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.

Not sure why you need to focus on the police part. Why not notice that he comes from a family that has a huge reputation in education? For example, Nikolay Middle School in Cambridge is named for his uncle, I think.
Either way, sounds like he has a rich resource to build upon.

At least he was a cop at one point. I hear they need them in Milton.
