Triple homicide suspect pleads not guilty
From the WCLO newsroom:
49-year-old James Koepp pleads not guilty to three counts of first degree intentional homicide in Rock County Court Monday afternoon.
The charges carry three consecutive life sentences. Court Commissioner Charles Holznecht conducted the arraignment via telephone, since the video conferencing equipment wasn't connecting to Koepp at Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage. The same problem occurred during Koepp's scheduled arraignment last week, delaying the court case to Monday. Koepp is charged in the January 2007 murders of Danyetta Lentz and her two teenage children, Nicole and Scott.
He's currently serving a sentence on fleeing charges.
WCLO's Beth Wheelock reports on the not guilty plea entered by James Koepp.

Well to let ya all know, no one in that trailer park knew he was a level 2 sex offender!Everyone was questioned in that park as well, he's the only one who ran.He had the chance like everyone else to come in and answer questions, he chose to run. There is also alot of key evidence with his DNA on it as well, pretty much out of 175 items. For the one who believes theres alot of Judge Judies, My family is'nt entertainment!

I personally know Danyetta, and in NO way did she have an affair with anyone, let alone the scum who killed her. It wasn't her way to do something like that, and I have even seen her turn down honest dates so she could spend ALL her time with the kids or her family. He lied about it to try and cover up why he would have been in her house that night.

He is guilty or he would not have run from the police. They had enough DNA to charge him. Who would set him up and plant his DNA. Dani and her kids did not deserve what that animal did to them.

WOW! I never realized how many Judge Judies read the Gazette. Not much on facts, but it's great entertainment!

I hope you realize that he is being held on charges he was convicted of outside of the murders. To set him free would be to dissmiss those charges.

His wife divorced him because he admitted to having an affair and likely didn't want to deal with being in the middle of all of this. And for anyone that has actually read the published evidence there are some pretty key items that his DNA was missing from....let the court/jury decide guilt.

Wasnt his DNA found on the bodies?? I would say that is a good indication of his guilt!

Jackson, if you say set him free, he is no danger, why then did his wife divorce him? If he were innocent don't you think she would have stuck by him. Further more, they have more than enough evidence to hold him for this long that says he is a danger, or they would have already let him go

hey jackson: it is "set" not sent. People might not be so quick and apt to give you such a hard time if you didn't make yourself such an easy target.
