OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) Oshkosh Corp., which makes specialty trucks and access equipment, broke ground Tuesday for a new manufacturing plant in Tianjin, China.

The plant will be the first China-based manufacturing facility for Oshkosh Corp. and will produce aerial work platforms.

Oshkosh Corp. chairman and chief executive officer Robert Bohn says the locally-produced platforms will give the company an advantage in the competitive Asian market.

Oshkosh has been offering product and service support to China since 1982 when the company began supplying aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles.

An "aerial work platform" is not a "truck". At least not in English.

I wonder if all those new Chinese made trucks will have valve controllers made by HED in Hartford Wisconsin? That would be good news.
