MADISON, Wis. (AP) A new report shows GOP presidential candidate John McCain outspent Democrat Barack Obama on television advertising in Wisconsin in the week following the Republican National Convention.

The Wisconsin Advertising Project report released Wednesday shows that just over half the money spent that week went to Midwestern battleground states. In addition to Wisconsin those are Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

In Wisconsin, McCain spent $487,000 on ads that week while Obama spent $432,000.

The report shows that 77 percent of Obama's ads were negative compared with 56 percent for McCain.

Four Wisconsin cities were in the top 20 for total number of ads. They were Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison and Wausau.

lakennedy: I agree. That's the thing about Obama too. He can deliver a heckuva speech; doesn't necessarily make him (or anyone) a good leader though. On the other hand, there are those who have a lot of power right now who can't deliver a well-written speech if finding a bunch of WMDs depended on it!

Hey, momof5:

I think Governor Palin's speech at the RNC was very well delivered. I don't hold much stock in her performance, though. She was given a three minute standing ovation just for walking out on the stage by a group of people who didn't know she existed a week prior to the convention. I think her nomination definitley energized the party.

janesvillean: she is a governor now--no longer a mayor.

lakennedy: LOL! The good ol' Onion. I'm wondering though, did you watch Palin at the RNC on tv? And, if so, what do you think now?

Wow, candyapplered.
I'd get more factual information by reading "the Onion", for christ's sake.

He can outspend him but, he can't out smart him!

Oh, of course the National Review is completely unbiased!
.
It is the McCain and Palin campaign that is being called out for its daily and continued lying. Even by FOX. The reckless choice of Mayor Palin shows that this man cannot be trusted with the reins of government.

Since it seems we can no longer depend on the media for truthful and unbiased information, it is imperative that we all do our own research to ferret out the truth, ie.; check out the article written by Byron York at www.nationalreview.com, Election 2008 section.
