Influential Wisconsin justice wins re-election
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson won re-election Tuesday to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Abrahamson, known nationally as an influential state judge, easily defeated challenger Randy Koschnick, based on preliminary results. She waged an aggressive and largely positive campaign that focused on her experience and integrity.
With 28 percent of precincts reporting, Abrahamson led Koschnick 58 percent to 42 percent.
The victory puts Abrahamson on the way to becoming the longest serving justice in the state's 162-year history. It also makes her only the second justice to ever win election to the court four times.
Voters said they were happy with her 33-year record on the court and saw no reason to change.

Though I have mixed feelings Abrahamson, I must say I am glad to be finished with the pro-Koschnick robo calls. Did anyone else get a ton of them? What a nuisance!

If people raised the issue about John McCain's age, then why did it never come up in this race? We just re-elected a 75-year-old woman to a 10-year term.

So much for trying to get rid of the incumbments at any level. I guess We will have to wait until 2010 to start cleaning house at every level. That will be the only way to send a message that We are not happy campers.
