Milton police and the Rock County Sheriff's Office are responding to a robbery at Mercy Milton Medical Center, 725 S. Janesville St., Milton.

The call came in at 9:09 a.m., a Rock County Communications Center dispatcher said.

Authorities believe the robber fled north on Highway 26, the dispatcher said. They are not in pursuit but have alerted Jefferson County authorities.

Scanner reports indicated the robber was fleeing in a brown or tan pickup truck.

It's a shame when people go their entire lives with no sense of humor. They die bitter, unhappy and alone.

People searching for opiates...here we go. Just the start of heroin abuse. Everyone better wake up and understand there is an epidemic in this County.

tjlu- These people are just having a little bit of fun. They have a sense of humor and are joking around. I had a good chuckle reading their comments and I knew that they weren't serious in what they typed. Sometimes in life, especially in a stressful economy, we need to relax and have a good laugh.
.
I'm sure none of these people are *glad* that anybody was robbed and hope that the criminal gets caught. (note, I'm not saying that you accused these people of anything.)
.
Please try to loosen up and have some fun of your own, it's much needed these days. =)

i am glad you guys think it is funny that a company got robbed someone could have been hurt. Put your self in the person's shoes behind the counter. How would you feel if it was you? I don't think you would be laughing so loud. Alot you who blog on here have a lot of growing up to do or at least think about things before you write them.

I had just listened to the web cast on WCLO where the "clean needle" guy said he distributes 800 needles per week to Rock county heroin users and jumped to a conclusion. 800 needles per week given mostly to 17-22 year old kids is a startling number.

Dr. Van Beek has tons of heroin, good call Callit. Were you trying to imply the robber took cash to buy heroin or robbed the pharmacy for oxycontin?
