Update: Police investigating Edgerton bank robbery
Bank of Edgerton was robbed early this afternoon, Edgerton Police Chief Tom Klubertanz told WCLO Radio today.
Police responded to a hold-up alarm at the bank, 102 N. Main St., at 1:26 p.m., a Rock County Communication spokeswoman said.
Klubertanz said police are working with bank security to get a photo of the robber. The department still is investigating whether more than one person was involved and if the robber or robbers fled on foot or by car, he said. He said there was a "suggestion of a weapon," but police were still trying to verify that.
He declined to disclose how much money was taken.

InterestedParty....of COURSE it's the parent's fault....when said "bank robber" was little they wouldn't give him money for skittles, therefore, he decided to rob his parent's bank to SHOW THEM who's boss!! Consequently, the bank should go after the parents being they are the reason this "bank robber" chose their bank to rob! Neglegence on the parents part for sure! (in all seriousness though, anyone who would do something like this has a less than fully functional brain).

I have to agree with janesvillean about this just being a big whine-fest.
You commenters have blamed the police, the schools, each other, and the poor spellers for this bank robbery. What?! No one has blamed the parents yet?! Let's face it - we all know it couldn't possibly be the fault of the bank robber!

Oh my gosh! I am seriously doubtful the police department in Edgeron nor any other community as a whole, has a police force that "don't do their jobs". They are trained with schooling, and just because most of you think you know their job, doesn't make it true. Most blasters are people who have something to hide, or a personal vendetta. Your comments are rediculous, and really just make you sound ignorant. A police officer if I remember correctly, is an employee with strict government/city regulations, and if they are not followed, they will not be employeed any longer, that is a guarentee. Now, this is a test, and only a test, but spelling police, can you find the mis-spelled words in my comment?

I was in around the post office when this happened...I was wondering what was going on. Cops all over the place. Edgerton and Rock county..counted probally about 17 in all,all over town. I thought it was a drug bust when I saw the copper and his dog sniffing out around the post office. I must say, looked like they were actually doing their jobs.

Correct usage and correct spelling of the english language reflect on your education, your intelligence, and your attitude.
If you post a sloppy and poorly written comment, either you don't know, are too stupid to learn, or just don't give a sh**.
Or, is it all three?

this is a blog. not an english paper. half the peeps seem to care how you write, and the other half just care what you write. if yer gonna take the time to blast someone for how they write...well to half the peeps here you actually look a little MORE silly and A LOT more arrogant than the original poster.

Edgerton is not ALL bad. We may have a few rough spots that we need to smooth out but we do have people that are trying.
I do agree with some about our police force. They can be a bit snotty and make you feel like you are bothering them when you may be in need of help. The issue right now however is trying to find this person and I will bet that he/she came from another town/city to rob this bank.

Sorry if this comes out wrong BUT....... everybody is two faced when it comes to the police dept.. You dont like them when they pull you over and when there are just doing there job. They are not out there just looking for you to do wrong things. But then when you need them to come to your house when someone breaks in or damages your property, then you give them a call and exept them to be right there asap. Dont get me wrong that there job to get there asap but it's also there job to keep the streets safe. And if you think you can do a better job than them, go ahead and try it's not as easy as you think. Any of them probaly would be more than happy for you to take one of there places during any night of the week!

Hey davidsgirl09 - If you went to school in Edgerton, I think the teachers are the problem and not the cops. You need to brush up on your spelling and grammar before you post any more comments.

Sorry if this comes out wrong but i am just going to say i dont think they will ever find the people who robbed the bank because they dont do there job right anyways. What the Edgerton Police department needs is to Fire most of the cops here because they dont do there job and most of the cops are not good with other people some have really bad attitudes etc. Most of the cops are 2 faced they are nice to you when they dont have a call about u. If they have a call and it involves you then they turn there attitudes around they are mean to you it dosent matter if you just need some advices or what i know of a few of them who are like that. I just think Edgerton needs new cops and send the ones in edgerton to a different city or something. there is only a very few that are ok out there so honestly i dont think they will find the people who has done this robbery
