By STACY VOGEL   Monday, February 23, 2009 - 5:13 p.m.

Edgerton Police Chief Tom Klubertanz has released a description of an Edgerton bank robber.

The robber is male, 5 feet, 8 to 10 inches with a stocky build, Klubertanz told WCLO Radio. He weighs about 200 pounds and was wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt.

The robber did not display a weapon and fled on foot in the downtown area, Klubertanz said.

Klubertanz could not confirm there was only one robber but said the department is looking for one suspect at this time. He hopes to get a surveillance photo of the robber out today, he said.

Anyone with information should call Lt. Bob Bolgrihn at the Edgerton Police Department, (608) 884-3321 ext. 509.

And who is "we"? As in 'we all like reading your posts, not for the content, but for the challenge'? You and your little imaginary friends? I don't recall anyone EVER telling me they enjoy reading my comments...therefore, your we would be you.

PingPong.... uh o k?! You are one hostile individual. I am quite happy in my skin, I am thinking you can't say the same. WOW. I was making a POINT about and IDEA I had. Which is, stop being so darn critical. But, it is obvious you have some closets to clean before that happens...good luck with that. HEHE

Good grief... No, you can't just click on the photo and "make it bigger..."

Go under "view" hit zoom and THEN enlarge it. Its grainy but gives a much better view of the left hand with no glove on it. Sheesh!!!

i don't think with the picture you can really determine the race of this person at all. so anyone saying it is a specific race i think is guessing

RE:"Ole POUCH BOY (hehe)...really don't we learn from error? The security that was and is in place served it's purpose up until now,(granted we have no IDEA what the bank posesses as far as additional footage) and with that being said, I am sure securtiy is going to be looked at and improved. Just a thought to ponder before we critisize an already distraught business."--Foofoogrl
__________________________________________
When FooFoo says "we" she means me, and anyone that posts after me that is critical of how the Bank of Edgerton operates. First, I need to address FooFoo. You were not critical, so using the self-inclusive "we" as a way to soften "you" tells me about your id. FooFoo, we all love reading your posts, not for the content, rather for the challenge they bring. Reading your posts is like trying to walk across the Capilano Bridge with every third plank missing.
I might as well add to the list someone started for you after one of your posts covering another subject.
critisize = criticize
securtiy = security
posesses = possesses
FooFoo = Fool Fool
Second thing is that I never said the bank was "distraught". In fact, they have done quite well for a local bank. They should be able to afford the extra equipment. They should have already learned from the first robberies to hit the area and in particular their own banks. The only one distraught is you. Read! One last note. You are not funny. The "hehe" thing is what a 12 year old says, and even they would know Captain Kangaroo had nothing to do with a kangaroo other than the reference to his oversize pockets on his red coat. May I suggest you practice your reading skills keeping to titles in the Little Golden series. Leave the newspaper articles for the adults. While I have you worked up and at attention may I inquire as to why you felt the need to capitalize the word IDEA?

If it's the same perp as the Edgerton guy, he changed his hoodie.

Christ almighty you people complain a lot. The description WAS a little vauge. They probably already have a good idea of who it is to not release a more deatailed description.

If you don't want the cops to bother you, quit breaking the law, it's that simple. I used to throw a TON of house parties and the cops would come, they were always pretty reasonable with me, even when I was being unreasonable.

TrueCITIZEN...I understand you concern, but we all need to ask ourselves, these petty things we nag about, are they really going to matter a year from now? AND I am not asking you to enter into the WHAT IF'S......I am asking you to truly think about the hear and now, and what is and has happened, not what could of should of happened. A very good friend of mine gave me that advice when I used to get so uptight about things that are really not that big of a deal.......Is it really going to matter (or even be remembered) a year from now?

In an age of low cost, high resolution digital video we still pick the highest point in the room and try to cover the entire room with one camera. Now I am sure there is another camera or two, but a bank that brags in the papers with full page ads touting their increases in asset holdings and low loan defaults rates despite the economic stresses, should be able to supply a photo that is larger than a Micro-Machine. Protect our assets, us, and your employees by installing additional cameras at eye level to better identify details on potential subjects. All banks should consider this. The Bank of Edgerton should have considered additional precautions after their Milton Branch was robbed a few years ago. The public will still see your ads in the paper if they are only 1/2 page, and Dan H will have the funds to properly equip his facilities.

I am sure that is not the only picture the police have, but still. This picture is almost a joke. I attempted to click on it thinking it would enlarge. Maybe if I rub it.

Foofoogirl and svogel...that's all great but next time have the Police departement issue that information to the reporter or include a short blurp about why it wasn't disclosed. And come on, this happens alot as you can tell by people posting!

I live in Edgerton, I have my entire life. I can not wait for the police to catch this criminal. Then I wonder what you will post. Still something negative I'm sure. I am proud to live in Edgerton. How many of you who have such negative things to say about the EPD actually live in Edgerton? If you don't live in Edgerton, I don't think you can assume that the police don't do their jobs or aren't doing their jobs right now. If you listened to the radio this morning the FBI is also working with the Edgerton Police Department. Is the FBI also not doing their job to catch this criminal? Good Greif People......

No pedistals here. Trust me I have a closet full of shame. I just choose to not let it control my life. And Yes, now that the picture is evident, I must agree, he does look african american. But, I do have to agree that there is an explaination as to why the race wasn't exposed in the beginning. I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Also, YES, I wouldn't probably be able to give a description, I was just saying, I would have to probably spend a little bit of time in the bathroom first, I am not much of a clam person, and thank goodness I don't live in a glass house.... I wouldn't want everyone to watch me do my business. Please don't assume I think I am perfect, I am VERY FAR from that, I just try to live an optimistic life....if I don't, life can very quickly consume me.

a hat and gloves would hide his race, with the help af a hood with two eyeholes, nothing suspicious there when he walks in, come on now, his face wasn't covered, it would be easy to see what race he is, ...

foofoogrl? Is it lonely up on your pedestal in your glass house? And your name is very accurate if you wouldn't be able to give a description of a CRIMINAL as to what race he was.The less generic a description, the better chance of catching the criminal don't you think?
And surprise, surprise...he DOES look black from the photo.

Well, I zoomed in on the photo and his left hand is exposed... the skin tone is dark and so is the exposed lower part of his face. Either the guy is white and just got back from a tropical island or he's black.

I think bank clerks should start insisting the robbers either show a weapon or leave a note that specifically refers to the robber being armed. No weapon, no money. None of this "I have a gub" stuff. © Woody Allen

Being Negative only reflects on one's own life. There is so much power in words, and the words spoken on a racial level show a real miserable exsistence of those who spew them. Anyone ever think that maybe the race is unknown? Hats and gloves can conceal those things you know? I am wondering how many of us could give a description after being held up. I know I couldn't, I would be sitting on the toilet.

There's some relevant information missing. Is he Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Indian, Native American...? Either the police department, the Gazette, and/or/both are caving into political correctness and not giving out this information.

So, that's no description... approximate age? We know its a male... was he green, blue, white, red, brown... come on... This crappy description fits about 40% of Rock county residents! He probably lives here in Milton... had someone drop him off on their way to work... robbed the bank... ran a few blocks... then went to a little restaurant in town, like nothing happened, had breakfast (courtesy of the bank), then went home.

Sounds like a "Barney Fife" issue... Oh wait, maybe he is one of the stragglers from the heroin bust - here in Milton. Wow! It's THIS easy to knock off a small town bank? Scary!!!
